Power-Packed Recipes
You don’t need to pack a lot into a smoothie for it to be nutritious. Start with a liquid base of freshly squeezed juice, coconut water, nut milk, green tea, or maybe some kombucha. Add greens of your choice such as kale, spinach, Swiss chard, parsley, or mint. To boost your digestion, add plenty of green leafy vegetables to your recipe and a few berries for extra sweetness and flavor.
Hemp, chia, or flaxseeds are a good source of vitamins and minerals. For more targeted nutrition benefits, add turmeric or cinnamon to reduce inflammation, or ginger to help circulation. Serve over ice or blend for a thick, chilled drink.
If you want to keep things simple, focus on an easy recipe with bananas, pineapple, melon, and greens. If you like things peppery yet sweet, arugula and watercress mixed with strawberries, dates, and coconut will hit the spot.
Blending or emulsifying your produce will help keep the fiber and nutrient content high. Coconut Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 2½ Cups (600g) Coconut Water
- 1 Tablespoon (20g) Honey or Agave Syrup
- 2 Bananas, peeled
- 2 Cups (200g) Frozen Strawberries
- 3 Frozen Vanilla Yogurt Cubes (we use this silicone tray from Amazon)
Instructions:
- First, add all the ingredients to the container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Start your machine and quickly increase to its highest speed for 40-50 seconds, until smooth.
